A G minor concerto for two of these instruments was written by Antonio (10[1])Vivaldi. Friedrich Grützmacher (“GROOTZ-mock-er”) arranged a B flat major concerto for this instrument to fit the style of a romantic concerto, one of twelve by Luigi Boccherini. Whilst playing (-5[1])between an E and an F sharp on one of these instruments, one might hear a wolf tone. This is the highest of the two standard orchestral (-5[1])instruments to use thumb position.
